Laura Davis, a Partner with SKLaw, has been practicing law since 2001. Ms. Davis’ practice includes serving as general counsel and bond counsel to political subdivisions and general counsel to special districts and small cities located throughout Texas. Ms. Davis also represents developers in all phases of development, working with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and cities. She has extensive election law experience, providing counsel to clients on state and federal election laws procedures. She also provides counsel to special districts relating to state and federal grant compliance and policies. Prior to affiliating with the firm as Senior Counsel, Ms. Davis had a private practice providing corporate, real estate and general legal services to clients.
Ms. Davis is a native Houstonian. She received a B.A., cum laude, in Spanish from The University of Texas, Austin (1995) and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University (2001). She was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2001 and is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
Ms. Davis is fluent in Spanish. She is active in Cub Scouts where she serves as a leader.
